My Street
The most populace street in the world,
The street with the most books,
The street with the most names,
The street with the most stories,
Is Main Street.
Main Street is north of me,
South of me,
West and east of me,
Anywhere, that is,
But near me.
I was going to move to Main Street,
Become one with the masses,
Share my story with everybody else,
When I noticed a vacant street,
Far from Main Street.
Many vacant houses,
All containing empty books.
I moved to this street,
Forgot about Main Street,
And focus, now, on just My Street.
