Dreaming of the day you’ll wake up and miss me
Waiting for you with open arms but you always miss me
I love you because I was born loving you
I love you because my body your blood is running through
How can you look at a reflection of you and not see your life
How can you look at me and just pass me on by
I’m not sure if this makes me fragile or strong
In your heart I want to find a place to belong
The tears I shed I hope you think of me
Waiting for you all my life and a chance to say “daddy”
My heart is missing a piece
A place where you should be
