I was Sleeping Beauty
and you were Prince Charming
only you got a little held up with
that dragon
and forgot
I was waiting
for you to come and sweep me off my feet

I was Snow White
and you were Prince Charming
only you left your shield
at home
and forgot
I was waiting
for you to come sweep me off my feet

I was Rapunzel
and you were Prince Charming
only you were a little busy making sure your hair
was perfect
and you forgot
I was waiting
for you to come sweep me off my feet
So I changed out of my dress
into pants and a shirt
and climbed down from my tower
and walked off into the sunset
because I was tired of waiting
for you to come sweep me off my feet
