You say I never told you
But you are wrong for
With every slight slip of my sleeves
To reveal the edges of fresh bruises and cuts
Through every night I cried silently
Next to you while you slept smiling
I told you
Through the way you looked at me
And I looked away
Into the distance far away
Seeing everything and nothing
I told you
But it wasn’t me who was silent
It was you
Your ears were hearing your own laughter
Your eyes caressing your mirror
Your nose smelling your own scent
Somehow
I got lost in the mix
