Doesn’t move
Or make a sound
He misses him

He knows he is gone
He knows he lies there
Hidden from his view
He misses him

He will be kept by a friend
Of the one he has lost
He won’t forget him
He misses him

I wrote this in response to Hawkeye, the Chocolate Lab who laid in front of his masters coffin after he was killed in action, serving our country. I was amazed and thought people should understand why this is so amazing, I wanted them to be amazed just like I was.
