Caught in silence, and in peace
where winds can catch what words can't say
the trees will shake, their leaves release
when all other movements cease
the seasons halt their brisk relay
to cherish moments, subjected here
forgetting blooms of blushing May
for darker shades of an Autumn day
the sighs will pass from ear to ear
of nature stilled - too close to hear
with the falling light at dusk, it's clear
that Winter nights are far too near
