My very last act of love to you,
Is to let go of the friendship we once knew
To love you enough to let you go,
While my heart is breaking more than you could know

My last act of love is to say goodbye,
To let you move on and try not to cry
I won’t make you see the pain that burns deep
If happiness for you means freedom from me

In this last act of love I do have a hope
The thought of letting go makes it so hard to cope
From this heartache I pray I can rise above
As I say goodbye in this last act of love

This poem is about how my friends and I grew apart and how I had to let them move on. I still love and miss them with all of my heart.
