Im a rose in the middle of a field of dandilions

Love
How can I love
when I don't love myself?
How do I love
Anybody. Anything.

What is love?
When I write it
What do I mean?
Do I mean it?

Or is it just the lies
you tell to get
someone to shut up?

Is it a word
of compassion
or nothing at all.

TO write love
without knowing
what it means

To write love
without appreciating
the value of it.

Do you write
love just because
Or because you mean it?

LOVE.
Strange word isn't it
LOVE.
Great word when you mean it.
LOVE.
You now have value

LOVE.
You now have a
reason to live.
LOVE.
A word you can't
take advantage of.

LOVE.
Is what I feel
for you.
LOVE.
Is making my heart
beat faster.
LOVE.
Is making me smile.

LOVE
is what i want you
to feel for me.

Love, me.

I wrote this poem not because I'm in love. But because everyone needs to feel loved.
