I've always been fighting an uphill battle,

To keep myself from succumbing to the anguish,

Anguish that has been ever-present in my life,

I feel myself drowning in it all,

Always fighting to keep my head above water,

I'm afraid that if I fall,

I won't have the strength to stand up again
