Those Blue Eyes
Those blue eyes are as blue as blueberries
But behind them lie secrets, lies, and misery.
Those blue eyes are as blue as the sea
But they sting because they cry so much.
Those blue eyes are as blue as the sky
But they can only see grief and heartache.
As those blue eyes stare back at her through the mirror
All she sees is at pit of despair.
And as those blue eyes stare back at her through the mirror
One sheds a tear
But one tear is all for right now
For she silently takes a breath
Wipes away that tear
And puts on a fake smile for her friends
Because nobody should know of her anguish.
And until she gets home
She will fake it
Until she cannot bear it any longer.
Until she ends it all.
