A single tree will stand alone, and bear itself on its own

It has to withstand the dark winds and help itself to defend

But with roots that are weak and nimble, the poor thing will always tremble

We may not have always had the fruit, but we still had our roots

And we may have our minds set, but our hearts will always dare to bet

I will never give up on you, even though I grew

Never let the sun beat us down, because it will always shed a frown

And watch our leaves flutter, because they are forever changing colors
