Fountain of Youth

The water of life
People search for it
Their entire existence
Oddly enough
Until they're old
And withered
And can go no more,
Having LOST their life
Searching for
The Waters of Life.

The author's comments:
I just always thought it was silly that people would waste their lives searching for something like the fountain of youth, and all the while, losing the very thing they wanted to preserve.
