There will always be darkness
And thunder and lightning,
And the sounds of screaming
and terror.

But have no fear my child
I will hold you.

There will always be fire
and the clash of swords
in a battle of blood
and evil.

But have faith my child
I will protect you.

There will always be swords
and plunging falls
as the monster claws
at you.

But have faith my child
I will save you.

Someday there will be light
and the rain will come,
cleansing your heart
and soul.

There will be no more fire
or wicked,
for your hero
has come.

Have faith my sweetheart
for I will come,
and will be with you
forever.

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece because there are always people in this world who will try to tear you down with words and actions. They represent the fire, the battles, and the monsters. But in the end you are stronger. That you won't let them attack you any longer. There will be a happy ending. I hope that people will keep their head up high and don't let them get to you. You are stronger. You are the hero.
