What do you have when you spend life
Counting crows?
When you throw seeds to the ravens,
As if to draw them near?
When you swear the owl’s deafening screech
Has pierced your ear in silent dreaming?
When you lay meat for the famished vultures,
As if to induce their endless circle?
What do you have when you spend life
Counting crows?

I love this poem. The imagery and langauge you used were so vivid and real. Great job.
