I could have said more than
Oh
I could have done more than
look at my Lap
I could have told her
That it is not something to believe like
God
When she said being gay was disgusting
I could have told her that it is
Bigoted
I might have told her that she is a
Parrator
I could have flipped my hair and
Said:
This is the next civil rights
Movement
This is Diversity
That it isn't something to believe in, becuase
It's Real.
I might have told her that as much as I love
God
The Bible can be outdated
Or I could have simply said
"Yea, well I think it's cool to be Gay."
But instead,
I said
Oh.
And looked at my
Lap.
The teacher came to the front and we talked about
Mitosis.
She forgot it,
laughing at the boy who sits in
Front.
But I didn't. Becuase next time I will say
Something.
