Places change,
People change,
and I change
too.

My home is different,
friends come and gone,
and I change
too.

My school is better,
My teachers far away
and I change
too.

Friendships broken
drifting away
like a balloon
I accidentally let go of and
no matter how high I jump
I can never quite grasp it.
So I change
too.

Memories left behind,
Father said
to never look back.
So I changed,
just like the
place and the
people.

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem because I just moved from Massachusetts to California, and the pain of the move did not decrease even after time moved forward for 6 months. I felt a little better, like a weight was lifted from me, after I wrote this.
