As the street lights die down,
But the moon shines a little,
Through darkened clouds.

Innocent,white,pure snow,
Melts to something bitter and unnatural.
Footsteps,scarcely visible,
Can be heard over your deep breathing.

Fear takes over body and mind.
What moves in shadows,
Is now your obsession.
What lurks behind walls,
Is now your downfall.

This night,
That's now unforgettable,
Ends with an ear-splitting scream,
That clenched your heart,
Till it no longer beats.
