Embrace
Hands intertwined,
We rock on the double swing.
I lean my head into her small shoulder –
We fit perfectly together,
Two puzzle pieces reunited.
She gazes up at the brilliant starlight,
My eyes follow hers and
I see so much more, now that she’s here with me.
Time flies off like a fluttering bird
Into the warm glow of the beaming moon,
Leaving just us,
Two life friends held in an
Eternal embrace of warmth and tenderness.
She looks into my eyes and smiles,
Feeling home at last.
