Bent...

And so they all told me,
that distance wouldn't work,
but that didn't matter,
becuase I had faith it would.

But consequence came,
to pay us a visit,
you had something to say,
so I asked 'what is it'.

'Nothing big,
don't worry,
just someone else,
that has gotten to me'.

Something ENORMOUS,
as to proving to me,
that I'm not enough,
for your heart to see.

Yet everyone deserves,
that second chance,
maybe an honest mistake,
following an innocent glance.

But I can't seem to think,
I can't seem to eat,
choking on the remains,
of the girl you meet.

Our paper,
is now bent,
now it can't be perfect,
ever again.

You can try fixing it,
and fail multiple times,
and now I see,
I was wrong to call you mines.

I asked only one thing,
don't hurt me,
and I gave you my trust,
then you broke me.

I gave myself to you,
body and mind,
and I find it impossible,
to leave this behind.
