i never said most of the things i said- yogi berra

When I was a child I question the skies
I question all that the universe kept inside
I remember the tales that my grandmother told
She talked about the times that a man would sell his soul
He would give up everything only to be left cold
She told everyone who could hear
Stories that would forever make you scare
She told stories that was passed along for generations
Stories told from ancient observations
One story always stayed close to my heart
The story of how the earth was split apart
I remember she set me in her lap
She said “child look up at that sky”
She lean back, looked up and silently sighed
She said “dem clouds are nothin but lies”
“These eye know er’ything bout dem folks up high”
I looked at her and asked how can that be?
What was it that I couldn’t see?
She just looked up and sigh again
I looked up too and waited for her to explain
She reached under her chair and took out a dusty old book
She told me to come and take a look
On the front in simple little words
Was a story that would forever change my world
It read An Angel Fell and Created Hell
She read
“ a mighty angel fell
Thrown out into the depths of heaven well
He made a hole in the sky
The earth looked up and cried
He dove down hard and made the earth cracked
With it came the entrance of a place that’s truly dark
He said let it be know to all
I’ll do all I can to make you fall
You will never get a chance to be with god above
He look up at the heavens with glee
Forcefully trapping people before they can flee”

My eyes filled with tears
I couldn’t believe what I read
The heaven and earth are all the same
Getting rid off things they cant contain
I don’t know who I can believe
Heavens responsible for hells release
I made a vow to never get close
I would keep away from the earth dark holes
I look up and tell the heavens to wait for me
It seems like it’s the best place to be
But i wonder if that would bring me peace

Fear and Pain. You need both to get stronger. You need both to push you through the battles of your life. But at the end of the battle. You must learn to get rid of the fear and pain, or be consumed. - Jack_the pumpkinking

This was good; I love how it told the story and how you showed the doubts in faith. The last few lines are good; intriguing

I like it. It reads like a story and I like the fact that it ends in a question and it told like a conversation. Good Job.
