Ode to a Toaster Strudel

Sleepwalking to the kitchen at 5 in the morning and hungrily making a beeline for the freezer, I reach into the cardboard treasure trove and magically reap my daily gift from God: a Toaster Strudel.

In goes the frozen pastry, into the toaster
Toasting to perfection.

A heavenly aroma inhabits the air, wafting from the kitchen throughout the entire house; its scent inviting and beautiful enough to summon the dead. The chocolatey aura greets my parents with a loving "Good Morning!" and calls me back to the kitchen.

One bite is enough to experience the sacred beauty of the crisp, flaky delicacy; its glorious Boston Creme filling rich like molten lava feeding my soul as I give into my addiction to these toasted specialties every morning.

Breakfast of Champions.
