The Brewing Storm

The wind blows strongly from the east
How strange that is blows from that direction
The dark clouds sit morbidly in the heavy air
Will the wind bring them to us
Or will it drive them away...?
The sharp sound of plastic scraping across the concrete
Cuts through the hushed scream of the wind
Jerking me from my dreamscape
And back to reality.
