From the time I was born you were always there, So when the news hit me I vowed to be here, For you in your time of need, For me in my time of grief, It's like the stars are falling beneath my feet.

When things are bad, And sickness goes mad, The Angel's of Heaven will call you home, Or so you said.

Now your not here, Your not even near, And I didn't know the past was so clear. Bringing back all the memories of a joy-filled childhood because of you, Got me thinking of how much I Love You...

In Loving Memory Of Grandpa Schrank

Love,
Angel (Your Granddaughter)

A couple of weeks ago my Great Grandpa died from cancer. He was 81 years old but he was very close to me and I believe that he still had some time left. The times I spent with him as a child were the best times of my life and I would do anything to have him back. The day he died I wrote this poem for him it gave me a little comfort.
