Dear Pain

Pain, pain, go away
Please don’t come another day.
My heart is aching,
My back is breaking,
And I long to close my eyes.
Take the sadness in my chest
And make me feel my best,
Let me lay down to sleep
And away in the night you’ll creep.
You have been constantly by my side,
Now I’m telling you to run and hide.
I’ll chase you out if I have to.
….
Love, love, come inside
And fill me up with pride.
Together we will live free of fears,
And finally say goodbye to tears.
