you are the sun
shining bright radiance
a vibrant glow bursting
from sky blue eyes

i am the moon
soft light gentle grace
illuminating dark and pale
all in one

while you stand
fiery
in valiant glimmering glory
i float behind
concealed by night
cloaked in blue canvas

and while i watch
silent
in unspoken tiptoed thoughts
you race to catch up
desperate fingers of flame
longing for my cool touch
