I Close My Eyes

at night, I close my eyes. holding back my tears, I thank God for breaking my down. my days are hard. I keep my head up in the light, but at night I close my eyes. sometimes breathing gets hard and I just wanna give up. my heartbeat goes on and at night I close my eyes. taking the next step every day sometimes splinters my heart. I feel as though there's no hope. But at night, I close my eyes. holding back my tears, I thank God for breaking me down.
