Our grammar is crap
Our spelling even worse
But we share it anyway
A heart-to-heart with others
That by now,
We should know well
But we don’t
We share poems
From deep within
Ones that take days of time
And effort
These poems
May make us weep
Or feel angry
Sometimes so much
We can’t go on with it
But we try
Holding onto these pages
With our heart and mind
Written all over them
We sit and listen
Taking in the pains
And sorrows
Happiness
And anger
Of others
Trying to understand
This is us
In this odd circle
Just trying
We are
