There's an old broken bridge
That's slowly falling apart
It withholds the strength
of a loved ones beating heart

she wont ever cross
although she always tries
because her wish come true
is on the other side

the key to fixing it
is the lords precious time
wanting,hoping,wishing
will he ever be mine

the water surrounding the bridge
glistens near the trees
promise will you please
that you will wait here for me

the leaves begin to fall
the seasons will change
but my love for you
will always stay the same

I look up slowly
watching a star fall from the sky
then close my eyes to wish
