I say it because I know it’s what you want to hear
I say it because I should
I say it because when I do you smile
I say it because I want to believe it’s true
I say it because I need you to believe it too
I say it because if I don’t you might leave
I don’t say it because I feel it
I don’t say it because I mean it
I don’t say it because it makes me feel better
I don’t say it because I want to
It’s just what society expects
But if I don’t say it
Please
Don’t leave me
