My bare feet
Touching the cool wet pavement
The clean scent of rain in the air
The night sky-black
Breathing in the crisp air
My entire body relaxes
Connected to the Earth
Whole
The wind rustling the fallen leaves
Dancing around my feet
My wet hair sticking to my face and neck
Alone- but I don’t mind
Serene
Peaceful
The patter of rain hitting the forest floor
Tilting my head back
Allowing the rain run down my face
Alive
The woods- still and calm
Surrounding me
Safe
There’s no where I’d rather be
