I want to talk
About hate

The pain
The suffering

The bully
The victim

The accuser
The accused

How

It unimaginable

Yet it’s so very real

And it’s so


Scary
Breaking hearts

And minds
Staying forever

Never forgetting

It doesn’t go away
Only gets stronger

Tearing down those walls.
In our mind’s eye
Built so high

Protecting us from
The world
But it doesn’t work
Out so well

Even in our minds
We have hate
Hanging on to the words
Of discrimination
And prosecution
