The Circle of Life
It gets passed around,
Hands grasping for relief.
Quickly the crystals
Suck through,
Turned to ash
As everything is in life.

One man is left out,
Absorbed in the background,
He gets no relief.
He is clever, though
And brought his own.
Eager hands grab at him,
Pulling him down,
Taking his happiness away.

It gets passed around,
Hands grasping for relief.
Quickly, the crystals
Suck through,
Turned to ash,
Such is the circle of life.
Such is the cycle of life.

The author's comments:
I know many people who are desperate for drugs. This is about my friend who, afterwords, had to go to the hospital after his "friends" broke his face so he would let go of his meth pipe.
