Jew
he
had said
a salty venom bubbling
on his
hissing tongue.
my eyes
crumbled
beneath the weight of shame
or maybe
to dodge muffled eruptions
of the cackling crowd.
cheeks crackling
like twigs
the air
thick, heavy
dense with passion
his rosy lips
melting
to a victorious grin
