The brackish taste
of sweat trickling
down to my chin
sky diving off
the cliff.
Onto the glossy
tan hardwood base.
Hours spent in the gym,
weight room, and on hills.
Legs becoming
enormous tree trunks.
Arms feeling as
tighten as ropes.
Witnessing the stress
of my family,
keeps me motivated.
I promised them they
will be living
large and stress free.
At hand is nothing that
will stop me.
I’ve been doing this
for years now.
I have been through too much
just to quit now.
