I Dream of a Girl
I dream of a girl. of a woman. of a lady. of a lass.
I dream of a girl with a laugh. a warm sonorous laugh, like the rising of the sun.
I dream of a girl who is the feeling of bliss.
Eyes that are bright and engage the mind. A sense of purpose.
I dream of intelligence. Of intellect. Of wisdom.
I contemplate perfection, But I dream of a girl.
I dream of smooth legs and thin arms. Delicate but powerful.
I dream of health.
I dream of differences. Of different loves. Of different values. Of discussion.
I dream and I dream. I consume these thoughts. I chew them over, break them down, Savor every note.
I hear happiness and I see joy.
I think of running in fields. Of dancing in circles. Of embraces that cut time, move mountains, and marry souls.
I dream. Oh, to dream.
