After
Solemnly there he lie,
And in his heart, so do I.
Silent beats and broken strings,
Mend together tiny wings.
Up to sky, taken flight,
Wake up to find, it's still the night.
Thick clouds and falling stars,
Capture creatures in Mason jars.
Keep the picture, hidden gem,
The imperfect glimpse of I and him.
Tired eyes and sorry heart,
Put to rest, broken apart.
Solemnly there he lie,
And in his heart, so do I
And while he's taken to the sky,
In my chest I too, slowly die.
