Step, step, step
Down the hall
That seems to get longer
Each second

In a flash
He’s by my side
With a shining smile
He’s hand slips in mine
Our fingers intertwine
My heart beats fast
Warmth flows through my body
Making me smile

My smile fades
The walk is almost over
In that moment
The hall couldn’t be long enough

I wish I could walk
Step by step
Hand in hand
With him
Forever

Favorite Quote:
“I'd rather see a sermon than hear one any day; I'd rather one should walk with me than merely tell the way: The eye's a better pupil and more willing than the ear, fine counsel is confusing, but example's always clear.” -Edgar Guest

Very good, I like this poem. It is short, sweet and moving.
