The house is in no happy galore
My school days from September to May

I do my morning duties for today
Sauntering half asleep out the door
Oh what a day

To my first couple of hours I stray
Struggling to stay awake In this lengthy chore

By lunch my mind seems near decay
It seems to tell me homework no more

After school you would think it would be time for less work and more play
But its off to cross country
to feel like my muscles has tore

Some people may think week days are happy and gay
But for me I believe it is a bore
