The windows to my soul have been blinded
By the flame that lies within me
Though in mind, I know things to be wrong
The fire inside won’t let me see
Reason

Heat, burning deep and bright
Hazardous to my health,
Though the flame could kill me in a single second
I want to savor each moment I bask in it, to preserve the wealth
Indefinitely

This Pit that I live in seems less like a jail cell
When I look into your two seas of blue
Like two candles, shining, igniting the light
Within me; within you
Glowing

Ignorance from me, that all must die
For I can’t put out the fire and send it to the past
Help me fuel the flame, and feed it
So that it may grow hot, and bright, and last
Forever
