The world.
What is it coming to.
What is the world coming to.
Where are you.
Where are you God.

For Moses you parted seas.
For Elisha you raised the dead.
For us you do nothing.

My mother says, wait.
My father says, no point.
My heart says, believe.

How do I believe.
How do I believe with my heart.
How does my heart believe when I cannot see you.

If your there.
How can you see this.
How can you see this and nothing.
Why can’t I feel you.

Lord, Ehyeh, Yahweh, God,
So many names.
So many names I pray to.
To no answer.
Why don’t you answer.

Do you.
Do you answer.
Can I just not hear you.
Do you answer and I not hear you?
How do you answer and I not hear you?

I want to believe.
I want to be yours.
But the terror.
The horror.
The world.

Where were you God, when your people cried to you.
Where were you God, when they lay in their own blood.
Where were you God, when the gas cleared.
And they lay still.
Where were you God, when the dark pits closed around the bodies of the hopeless.
Where were you, when the last shot rang out.

You do not answer me.
I listen still. for you.

My head searches for explanation.
My heart searches for meaning.

I can only see the horror.
The terror.
The world.

I can not see the miracles.
I can not see your miracles.

I try. Oh God I try.

I can’t.

Show me God, I beg you.
Show me what to believe in.
Show me where you are.

Help us Lord, Ehyeh, Yahweh, God,
So many names.
So many prayers.
So many grievances.
God.
Please.
Show me.
