My Two Best Friends

A best friend is loyal
A best friend is always there for you
A best friend is always happy to see you
A best friend doesn’t have to be tall nor smart
A best friend just has to make you happy
Even when their soft yellow fur sticks to you like glue
Or when they lick your face
All that matters is that your best friend loves you
A good friend at age five will not last forever
The friendship may not last past age seven
I will love my two yellow labs forever, even though they are now in heaven
