I Cry Because I Hurt

there are these tears that fall
when i do not want them to,
there are these tears that cry
when i hurt inside,
for i cannot help the pain
nor can i help the sadness
it eats inside, eats away my heart
as the darkness tears me apart.
i do not want them to see
i do not want them to hear,
for these tears are my own fears.
let me be, let me cry
for these tears are mine;
there are these tears that fall
when i do not want them to,
i only cry because i hurt inside.
