Frozen Time

The place is here
The time is now
Time stops
My heart freezes
My words hang in the air

Now it is tomorrow
Where did the time go?
It was right now
Now it was last week
It is a month later

Time never really stops or slows
But my mind holds on
To my most important memories
Of my greatest adventures
And holds them captive in my heart

Even now, a year has passed
And still I cling
To beloved memories
Of wonderful friends
Forever frozen in my heart
