How to Write a Poem
Take one thought,
happy or sad.
One broken heart,
peaceful or enraged.
Add one sentence of hope,
to lighten the mood.
A few short melodies,
stuck in your head.
And one nightmare,
from when you went to bed.
Write your poem down,
or speak it aloud.
And remember that poetry,
appeases the toughest crowd.
