Kinky, crazy, curly, coiled
My hair.
At least, it was.
Straight, limp, bland, boring,
Is what it is now.
Born curly, stay curly,
The way it should be.
Born me, stay me,
The way it should be.

The author's comments:
I am currently transitioning to a natural head of hair after years of relaxing it. It all began when I was little because my mother doesn't know how to do a thing with hair and she decided keeping it straight would be more manageable for her. I have no grudges but I am capable of caring for it myself and decided that keep it the way I was born with was more appropriate for me.
