Wake to a Dream
The night breathed darkness.
Frost climbed longingly up the blade of grass.
The air stood still, sharp,
Lifeless.
Take a ride up the ladder of heaven.
One glance back.
How high do you want to go?
skip,
onto the clouds.
Sail,
among the winds
and spot the rising sun.
Fall back to earth.
Frost to dew:
A thousand diamonds littered among the grass
Hidden now free:
the flower flows with aliveness.
Nature speaks out.
And dares you to dream
of better beauty.
Dusk greets day.
Cold replaces splendor.
Close your windows to the world,
and dream.
