I'm Here
Wandering under stars alone,
I hear crickets singing,
and the owl, all knowing, bellowing.
Tall grass rustling under my feet as
I rushed through the spacious field.
Craving his subtle touch, I circle the
corpulent sycamore tree, calling his name.
The dark blue-violet sky reassures the
power of the stars, through my fingertips.
My silver dress flows
with whispering winds, as my arms open with freedom.
I want him to be with ME, holding ME with care.
I’m the only one who truly knows you. How you
smile, and make lonely nights better.
I’m the only one who sincerely cares. I’ll cradle all
your secrets. I’m the only one who can hold your heart,
kindly, and not scar it. ‘My Love’ is all ‘you need.’
So take my hand, and let’s make a break for it.
It’s just you and me.
