Victim of an Amateur Arsonist

There is a fire inside of me
Lit between penciled ribs and left to burn
My fire gives off coffee smoke trapping my liquid lungs
Filling up inside red walls galloping across my chest
You cannot see this fire with your extinguisher eyes
You don’t notice my flaming fingers and grey smoked thoughts
Everyone has a fire, everyone sets one eventually
With tree flames and choking lungs as tools
You set my fire, stuck it inside my chest
Turning my stomach butterflies to ashes, ashes we all burn down
Who set your fire? Was it me? Did I burn you down?
Who soaked your heart in gasoline and lit it with a glance?
I want my fire gone, but salt water doesn’t help
Ashy streaks polluted by the flames, boiling away as they leave my eyes
With a fire where a heart should be, I want to create one too
And see what damage my lighter lips and ember eyes can do

Wow, that's good. I don't know why, but I really love this poem. I can't find anything to critique about it, sorry! :)
