You don't know what you have until you've lost it. So treasure everything you do have and never let it go

"Honesty"
You tell ME what it means.
To many, it's just word.
Straining, to be heard.

But to some, including me,
It's a word that deserves to be seen.
Don't you agree,
It's better to be believed everytime you speak?

Conflicts, arguments, wars.
Fights, bruises, and sores.
So many horrors spring from lies,
And yet we have the nerve to ask, "why?"

The author's comments:
Honesty applies to every topic. I wrote this poem because I'm sickened of how many people I see every day that talk behind each other's backs and lie to one another.
