i cannot bring myself
to go to your gravesite because
nothing about you is silent and unmoving.
i cannot say rest in peace
because the phrase has been
used in reference to people
without purpose.
my tear ducts are still
strangled by the pride you gave me.
it's been three hundred and sixty five days
since i started looking for you
in myself.
